Mac or PC… which should it be?!
There’s no right answer I’m afraid and you won’t get us to committing to one side!
We use both Mac and PC here at NOW Design and for very different reasons we like them.Ok so Mac’s look cool , you may feel cool if you have one and the software suite bundled in is great. In short they’re a creative’s ideal machine… But then they’re not the cheapest and if it ever goes wrong, you’ll find it a lot harder to get it fixed (and more expensive).
PC’s aren’t quite as nice to look at (who looks at their computer all day anyway? – were not talking about the screen!) . We pretty much all started out on PC’s whether it be at school, at home or in the office so there is a large slice of familiarity in using the Windows software which doesn’t mean learning another platform. The recent release of Windows 7 is certainly an improvement on Vista and software is readily available for PC users online.
Be a bit more careful what you download though as the internet’s ‘bad guys’ have spent a lot of time focusing on PC’s and the windows platform. In short on nthe security front, a Mac owner who uses no security software at all has a much lesser risk of being infected by spyware or viruses than a PC owner running Windows who obsessively protects his or her PC.

I’m going for the Mac…
